VAGUE LANDSCAPES
The series «Vague Landscapes» is a photographic representation of the suburban landscape and the countryside, based on the variability and the uncertainty that surrounds these geographical locations. The condition of transition characterizes a place which is remotely located from the urban and strictly shaped areas and it comes out in the pictures from the elimination of iconographic elements that contribute to obvious denotations and lead to stereotypical readings.
At the same time, these photographs attempt to highlight the different elements that shape the landscape. Nowadays, the random human intervention is a symptom that emerges from the transition and reconstruction of the blurred and constantly reconfigured anthropological, social and personal meanings.
