Tina Willim

Tina Willim is a Graphic Designer, Art Director and Photographer based in Berlin focused on printed objects and analog photography. She loves traveling & adventures, her apartment in Neukölln and wishes she could breathe under water. Since November 2015 she runs a little Creative Studio with her partner in crime Suia, which is called YÄY Studio.

“I was once told I think in film scenes.
At first, my initial reaction was a loud snort filled with disbelief, but when I started thinking about it more, so much began to make sense to me. Especially when it comes to my work.
I shoot analog photos of situations and things, which are archived in my mind as souvenirs that represent an instant or anecdote. Sound complicated? Then think of this: behind every candid moment lies the memory of a specific feeling. It could be a greasy taste on the tip of your tongue, the dream of being able to breathe under water or the giddiness of being in love and thus completely content with sitting in the booth of a random diner.
Of course, when it comes down to it, only I myself can really feel what I think is going on in that one, very intimate moment of observance. Which means, all I can only hope for is that I am at least able to catch that fleeting, full of emotion.”
