Shae Detar is a fine art photographer. She hand paints on her large scale photographs, creating otherworldly photographic mixed media prints, taking her subjects out of reality and placing them within an ethereal world. She adds layers of paint to the photographs to exaggerate color, create texture, and add elements of fantasy to the work, often working in large scales, from 4-7 feet.
She has shown in galleries in Milan for Vogue Italia (and spoke on a panel), London, Berlin, Paris and New York City, and had her work included in several International photo art books. Her work has been featured in Italian Vogue, Vogue Netherlands, Marie Claire Italia, I.D, Vice, Dazed, Grazia, Interview Magazine, The New Yorker, Elle Uk, Marie Claire US, The Huffington Post, Ny Magazine, Forbes, Nylon, Blouin Art Info, Chanel and Refinery29.
