Cain’s Portrait

“Cain’s Portrait is a video about my brother that makes plastic rockets. Failure and sacrifice are connected to a narration about the ancient story of the two brothers, Abel and Cain.”

Agnese Galiotto (Arzignano 1996) lives and works between Milan and Frankfurt. Graduated at the Accademia di Brera, Milan, she is now studying in Städelschule, Frankfurt. She displayed her work at the Tenderflix prize 2018, Städelschule Rundgang and some small collective exhibitions in Milan.
Her work runs around what she thinks it could be familiar and authentic, trying to arrive at the heart of things. A synthesis that obviously becomes cryptical, in a process of stratification of images and memories.
