All ideas are related to relevant antecedents. The initial motivation of my artistic practice, which as an approach that presents and reflects my inner perception and my own nature. Photography, in its functionality of “capture”, to me, not only captures the material world but also offers a more mental and spiritual perspective. Photograph as a vehicle, contains more than the object itself. In my photography, there is nothing to conceal, which reflects the intrinsic nature of the individual, the desire to record and memorize. I still consider the experience of these two and a half years, as a person who came from the east with the experience of geographic displacement and time limit. It is the most unique experience, with impermanence and instability.
I combed all of my negatives from the past seven years, and then I progressively found clues from those negatives, which without date marked. To read the meaning of photograph may or may not appear immediately, it will be appearing in a specific state, present in a specific way. The “Past” not only creates the “Present”, but also has different meaning because of the different interpretations from the Present. In fact, through search negatives from now and past, look for clues from various moments and sceneries, via my subjective processing in the darkroom, to create my own “Present”. I believe my photography is a kind of cooperation with the relations of connection and transformation of time and space, with personal experience and perception. Contains past and present, death and life, pains and promises, instant and eternal.
