Urban Landscape

“Urban Landscape is a project that I carry on for about 2 years.
Born from the need to find precision in the composition of the architecture in the city of Los Angeles. In the city of over 10 million people the challenge is to find colored minimalist spaces, away from human presence, the purpose is to focus on the tone, geometry, harmony of lines and colors.
It is not important what Is in the composition but more important is the harmony of the elements in it.”

“The southern California weather helps me a lot, more then other location since the sky is often a blue clear color with no clouds. It is very different from all the previous work i’ve done, it’s a constant research of the right spot at the right time. Framing is very accurate in order to create lines and matching of colors. It is a photographic process and there is no digital manipulation of the images other then contrast and saturation. Sometimes I like to have a car or a sign in the composition or sometimes i keep the composition so minimal that doesn’t look like photography. is very fascinating to me also to share some of my photos on instagram and see how people respond to colors.

Great inspiration comes to me from the photography of Franco Fontana and the painting of David Hockney and De Chirico.”
